This session takes a look at some of the skills needed to search for information effectively, offering hints and tips as to how to search in a systematic way in the Queen Mary Library context.

The intended audience for this session are taught postgraduate students undertaking a dissertation or similar research project.

Intended Learning Outcomes:  

By the end of the session, participants will be able to …

  • Understand how to use some key Queen Mary Library search tools.

  • Use those search tools to search for information in an effective, systematic way.

  • Evaluate which tools and techniques best suit their research needs.

 

This session will be delivered online by the Queen Mary Library Services' Humanities & Social Sciences Academic Skills & Liaison Librarian Team.
