Dissertation Launch - EndNote: A Humanities & Social Sciences Introduction (Taught Postgraduate) Online

An introduction to the EndNote reference management software provided by the Library Services’ Humanities & Social Sciences Academic Skills & Liaison Librarian - Rich Evans.

Although this session will have a light-touch Humanities & Social Sciences focus, attendees from other disciplines are very welcome.  The intended audience for this session is taught postgraduate students undertaking dissertations or similar research projects

Intended Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Understand what EndNote is and what it does.
  • Use EndNote to collect, organise and reuse references.
  • Evaluate whether EndNote is the right tool for them.

This session will focus on the EndNote Online tool and will include an optional short “try it yourself” segment towards the end of the session.  If you would like to “try it yourself” in the session, please make sure you have signed up to an EndNote Online account before the session.  Details of how to sign-up to EndNote Online and other useful information about EndNote can be found via the Library Services' Academic Skills Centre QMPlus resource's EndNote pages.
