Effective database searching for Medicine and Dentistry (Whitechapel Library)
This session is designed for students in Medicine, Dentistry and related disciplines who are working on dissertations or research projects.
This workshop will focus on searching databases in order to carry out a comprehensive literature reivew. For students undertaking systematic reviews we also run a more in-depth, online/blended course on literature searching for systematic reviews
The objectives of this workshop are:
- To learn how to turn a research question into a search strategy
- To find out about key databases to use for your topic
- To discover some tips and techniques to help you get the most out of databases
This session will take place in Teaching Room 1 in Whitechapel Library. Please note that we also run this session online.
